At Cole Graphic Solutions, giving back is in our blood. Each year, the United Way, a nation wide non-profit organization, challenges individuals and businesses to participate in the United Way Day of Caring.
Our team is passionate about our community and giving back in every way that we can, so participating in the United Way Day of Caring through the United Way of Pierce County office at the Hilltop House was a no brainer. We got a little dirty, shared some good laughs, but best of all, we worked as a team to make a difference right in our own community!
The Hilltop House community garden and mixed fruit orchard is an organic garden managed by the Tacoma Urban Land Trust. The mission of the Tacoma Urban Land Trust is to “help connect neighbors to one another, nourish and sustain our ethnic diversity, and serve as an educational opportunity for our young and older community members as well as provide space to grow nutritious foods.”
We were excited to have the opportunity to participate with this awesome organization and support their mission by picking and sorting fruit, pruning trees, weeding, hauling mulch, and other fun gardening tasks that may have not gotten done otherwise. We had an absolute blast making a difference together!
